What subjects do you offer?

I offer personalised tuition in Spanish, French and Italian, as well as English as a Foreign Language (EFL). Study skills and academic coaching are also available.

Who are your language lessons for?

Language tuition is available for children, young people and adults, including learners at primary level, KS3, GCSE, IGCSE, A-level and International Baccalaureate level.

Which exam boards do you support?

Lessons can be tailored to AQA, Pearson Edexcel, Eduqas/WJEC, Cambridge International and other UK or international specifications. Please provide your exam board and course details before your first lesson.

What can exam preparation include?

Support can include speaking, listening, reading, writing, translation, grammar and exam technique. Literature, film, cultural topics and independent research can also be covered where required by the course.

What is study skills and academic coaching?

This is practical educational support for secondary, sixth-form and university learners. Sessions may focus on organisation, motivation, time management, revision, goal-setting and independent learning. It is not counselling or therapy.

How do I pay for my lessons?

You will receive an invoice by email after your booking request. You can pay by bank transfer or cash with prior agreement.

Do you offer online and face-to-face lessons?

Yes. Online sessions are available beyond Manchester, subject to availability. Face-to-face sessions are offered at the tutor’s home in Manchester.

Will my home address be displayed online?

No. The lesson address is shared privately with confirmed clients and is not published on the website.

Can you travel to the learner’s home?

Lessons at a learner’s home may be available, but all prices and arrangements are quoted individually. This allows travel distance, location and practical requirements to be considered before confirming a booking.

How long are sessions?

Standard tuition and coaching sessions last 60 minutes. Academic coaching check-ins last 30 minutes and are available to existing coaching learners.

What happens during the free consultation?

The free 15-minute online or telephone consultation is an opportunity to discuss the learner’s current level, needs and goals. It also helps determine which service would be most suitable. There is no obligation to book.

What is a personalised learner profile?

A learner profile records the learner’s current level, goals, strengths and areas for development. It provides a clear starting point and helps shape future tuition or coaching.

How often should lessons take place?

Many learners choose weekly sessions for consistency, although the most suitable frequency depends on their goals, availability and timescale. Packages can be used at a pace that suits the learner and have no expiry date.

How quickly will I make progress?

Progress varies according to the learner’s starting point, goals, attendance and independent practice. Early progress may include greater confidence, stronger foundations, improved organisation or better exam technique.

Do you offer lesson packages?

Yes. Five- and ten-session packages are available for selected services and provide a saving compared with booking each session individually. Packages are paid for in advance and have no expiry date.

How do I pay?

All customers receive an invoice by email. Payment can be made by bank transfer using the details on the invoice or by cash with prior agreement.

When is my booking confirmed?

A booking is confirmed once payment has been received or a cash-payment arrangement has been agreed.

What is your cancellation policy?

Please provide at least 48 hours’ notice if you need to cancel or rearrange a session. Late cancellations and non-attendance may be charged. Seven days’ written notice is requested when ending an ongoing arrangement.

What happens if the tutor cancels?

If I need to cancel a session, an alternative date, lesson credit or refund for the affected session will be offered.

Can learners under 18 attend?

A parent or guardian must make the booking, provide the required contact information and agree to the relevant terms and policies.

Are you DBS checked and insured?

Yes. I am DBS checked and hold professional indemnity and public liability insurance.

Where can I read your policies?

Concise versions of the key policies are available on the website. Full terms and conditions, cancellation, privacy, safeguarding and complaints documents are sent directly to clients by email after booking and payment.
